Book worm

I like reading. There’s nothing like opening a book for the first time and reading those first few lines. Those crisp new pages offering the promise of who knows just exactly what ahead. That satisfying crack when you put the first crease into the spine. Continue reading ‘Book worm’

Ba-da-da, ba-da-da, ba-da-da, ba-da-da!

These are the monumental opening lines to the UK’s 2007 Eurovision entry. “The what?!” I hear some of you cry? (Okay….none of you.) Let me explain. End of a long weekend

This evening is the end of a four day weekend for me. I needed it though. Continue reading ‘End of a long weekend’

Busy Day

I feel like I’ve done something useful today. I spent quite a bit of it outside doing some “gardening”. My major “project” for this year is to get my front and back gardens in better shape. Continue reading ‘Busy Day’

I’d like to teach the world to sing

I think the world would be a much better place if everyone sang at least one song a day. Doesn’t matter where or what. The shower is a good place. So is dancing round your bedroom belting out a power ballard into a hairbrush. I swear it releases something healthy and puts you in a good mood. Continue reading ‘I’d like to teach the world to sing’
